To: phnutr-l@...

Registration is now open for the June 23-25, 2010 training: Assuring

Pediatric Nutrition in the Hospital & Community.

Wednesday – Friday, June 23-25, 2010

UW Tower

Seattle, Washington

This training program is intended for RDs who work with pediatric

populations, and have not had extensive or recent training and experience in

pediatric nutrition.

- The conference prepares RDs to screen nutritional problems, assess

specific needs, and develop interventions for children with nutrition

problems and special health care needs.

- Speakers emphasize decision-making processes and the use of

evidence-based practice. Teaching methods include lecture, interactive

discussions, demonstration, and case-based learning, and participants are

encouraged to submit case examples and individual learning objectives ahead

of time.

- Participants will be automatically subscribed to the closed listserve,

Pediatric Nutrition Consultation On-Line, which provides ongoing pediatric

nutrition consultation and resources.

- Registration is limited to 40 participants, to facilitate interactive,

small group learning experiences and to promote the development of clinical

competencies
