Guest guest
Greetings to all, As you can see from my previous posts, I have had 2 ablations. The second one was 3 months ago. The first occurred last July. I am now afib free and the only heart related medication I am suggested to be on are slow release magnesium and a baby aspirin daily. Having had paf for 5 years, I can definitely say that the ablation was a great move for me, despite the relatively rough post ablation experiences. I had over 12 places ablated. Until now I have been reluctant to mention where my ablations were done, as the outcome was in doubt. Now that this is not in doubt, I can most strongly recommend Dr. Grant Simons of Englewood Hospital in New Jersey. For those of you who do not know where Engelwood is, a ten minute car ride from this upscale neighborhood will take you to the Washington Bridge to New York City. Dr. Simons - see second web entry -- was educated at Duke and also did time at Harvard. He recently went to France and observed their procedures. He is a conservative when ablations are done in that he burns as little as possible. He is the sort of doctor that calls his patients himself to see how they are doing. Englewood - see first web entry- has the state of the art mapping equipment. No, this is not a paid endorsement, and since the insurance paid all but $100 for each ablation, I do not need a bill reduction. This is for real, and is only written to help those of you who want to escape from the joys and pitfalls of afib. web info below; http://heartandvascularinstituteofnj.com/CardiacServices.htm Dr. Simons background http://englewoodhospital.com/1Search/DoctorDetail.asp?DoctorID=
Guest guest
Dear A-FibFriendSteve; I Thank you for including Dr. Simons and Englewood hospital in your data base. It is my hope that others can also be cured of afib. What you wrote seems correct. Your decision to also send it to the hospital for an additional proofread should insure its accuracy. Best wishes for the holidays,
