Guest guest
Thank you heaps to those of you who responded to our " mayday " re: keeping Zoe's blood sugar up whilst unable to eat. She ended up being put on life support and airlifted to New Zealand's childrens hospital intensive care unit because the pnuemonia was so severe. The doctors decided to suspend the diet until her lungs were better, and then we simply switched the liquid feed she was receiving to a keto one made by the dietician. She pulled out her gastro tube after one day of the ketoliquid and after another day of her normal keto food she was back in ketosis - with no fasting! She still isn't eating well but every day is improving in terms of strength and becoming her normal self - smiled and laughed for the first time yesterday. We have been home for 4 days now. We are very thankful to God and all the medical staff as we nearly lost her. Carol - I am interested in your liquid feed, should we ever find ourselves in this predicament again, (hopefully not!) Chris.
