Guest guest
Hello I have been recently diagnosed with ACM 1 and have had symptoms (fatigue, headaches, numbness, coordination probs, etc.) for several years with no answers. Two neurologists and several radiologists failed to correctly identify and/or diagnose my problem. Although I wasn't getting any affirmation from my physicians I persisted in finding a physician who would evaluate my condition using Milhorat's criteria. My perseverence paid off when Dr. Weingart confirmed that I do have ACM (1 - 3 mm). I am being evaluated for surgery and I'll see how that goes. All I can say is I'm so glad to know what's wrong with me! It just so happens that I have been practicing Social Security Disability law for 5+ years and would be glad to answer some questions about disability applications, appeals, how to build your case, get your Dr. to give you the info you need to be approved, etc. The National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR) can refer you to a lawyer in your area who specializes in disability claims. Also, your local Legal Aide office may be able to provide free legal assistance with a disability claim. I'm really glad this site is here and I look forward to chatting with some of you. Thanks for being there and thanks for listening. Anne
