They have beem known to show up at the funerals of murdered gays (like Shepard, the college student in Wyoming), bearing signs that say things like GOD HATES FAGS and HOMOS BURN IN HELL. They bring their kids along, make it a family event...sorry, they ain't funny. However, for your edification, I do include the following: Jesus of the Week-- www.phoenixnewtimes.com/extra/gilstrap/jesus.html and Adult Christianity (which you may have linked into via Betty Bowers)-- www.jesus21.com

Again we hear a tirade from one who has switched addictions several times: first chemicals, then 12-step cults, and now self-righteousness. The conscience of this e-mail server speaks -- with the authority of an XA rat! Harming those who practice lifestyles different from my own is not my style -- unless they are coercive, which the gay community is decidedly not. But I can laugh at the religious right's antics...though I loath their oppression and tendency to coerce. The distinction between you and I: I would stand up and fight those who would torment gay people, while you would sit back and judge both the tormentors and myself. Here are some steps for you, Rat Girl: 1) Buy a sense of humor from e-bay; 2) Try to get a sense of perspective while you're shopping; and, 3) Shut up until you can fit both into your personality. Guest guest
Hi, I went to this " Betty Bowers " site and frankly I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Granted that there is no shortage of nutcases on the 'net. Its a medium which enables them to breed like flies at a sewage works. Unfortunately, the subject matter and its timing is not a laughing matter. It just happens to be The Day of Atonement today. For those who did not go there, here's a sample of the plain shit - ********************************************************************** Don't Forget To Save Some Jews This Week! It is Yom Kippur once again and you know what that means! Tonight, the Ladies of Landover will be doing our annual Tour of Jewish Homes. Since so many ladies signed up this year, we are able to add 45 more Jewish Homes this evening to the 150 we visited last year! Praise. Each caravan will be provided with a way of making entry into each home, a New Testament for each lost Jewish family, and a large garbage bag in which to put all their Jewish junk, like menorahs (and other things with that coughing-up-a-hairball-H in them!). You are instructed to affix no less than 10 " Turn or Burn! " impossible-to-peel-off stickers on the walls of their home. Please, as we are going to be in these people's homes uninvited, let's try not to break furniture, ladies! And remember, burning crosses are not permitted this year after all the bad press we got last year confusing us with the " wrong element. " *************************************************************** Whilst I'm pretty easy going, and generally tolerant, I found this site pathetic. Its bigotry reminiscent of Nazi Germany and its a tragedy that we should think it funny. Abe Send reply to: 12-step-freeegroups Date sent: Sat, 18 Sep 1999 12:02:03 -0700 From: vomiticus@... For those with a *very* strong stomach, try http://www.godhatesfags.com/memorial.html This is a revolting supposed 'memorial' to Shepard, with a picture of him burning in hell and apparently WAVs of him screaming and pleading for mercy; mercifully for me, no soundcard in this PC prevents me from hearing them. These guys are abt as sick as they come. Pete
