Guest guest
You should take a look at the Appetite Awareness Workbook by Craighead. It is a great way to get from bingeing to losing weight. She advises that before trying to lose any weight you should have no food off limits, be feeding yourself when moderately hungry and stopping when moderately full, and be totally free from bingeing. Then you concentrate on stopping when *just* full (as opposed to moderately full) and choosing healthier foods. I think that if you've had a history of restricting and/or bingeing, it is VERY difficult not to fall back into the mindset of " if a little is good, a lot must be better " -- and going back to only choosing the lowest calorie option, avoiding food you like completely, telling yourself that going to bed hungry won't hurt, etc. > Now that I know why my attempts to lose weight have failed, i wonder > if it would be wrong to just cut some calories without falling into > these traps.
