Guest guest
Hi Tigger. Bummer. Yet another pill to swallow every day, huh? Do you know that being in a lot of pain can actually raise your blood pressure? That's what my doc told me. I've always had perfect blood pressure, even after I gained all this flab. The last couple of times I went in, my pressure was high. Not like heart attack high, but it was high enough for them to say something about it. They asked my if I'd had anything with salt, but I hadn't. Then they asked how I was feeling, and I told them I was in massive pain. That's when the doc said that the pain could be causing my pressure to rise. I'm sure all this extra fat doesn't help. But no matter what I do, I can't seem to lose. I've stayed the same, but lost nothing. Ugh! I went from being a size 12 in late 2003 to a size 18 now. I've got these ugly stretch marks on my stomach from losing so much so fast, then gaining again. It makes me gag to look at myself these days. What did they give ya for the high BP? Anything good, lol.... My husband has super high blood pressure. It will be a miracle if he makes it to 40. He is always almost borderline heart attack. He just recently switched from Avapro, atenolol, and HCTZ to one pill- clonidine. He says the clonidine works a lot better. I think the brand name of that is Catapress. It comes in a patch form too. He asked for the clonidine cause that is what they give people who are going through opiate withdrawal when you go to re hab or the hospital. It helps with the withdrawal, which he seems to be in most of the time since he takes his pills like crazy. Well, I hope your doc is at least helping you get the whole BP thing under control. ~*Kerrie*~ More doc stuff My doctor had to put me on high blood pressure med today. She gave me every chance to get it down, but it keeps coming in high. Once I lessen the stress load, perhaps it will be o.k. Tigger No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Kerrie, I've been on HCTZ for about 5 years now because I tend to retain a lot of fluid. She just put me on Cardizem. No nothing good. Today I would wish for anything good..... mood is bad, physical is bad, outlook is bad. Just not a good day. And as you know from living nearby, we're expecting a storm tomorrow, so I don't know about you, but I hurt.... alot. Tigger More doc stuff My doctor had to put me on high blood pressure med today. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
I can predict rain and cold weather like clockwork just by how bad I ache. It's quite amazing to me. It's sure been COLD these past couple of days, huh? I had to put my electric heater on this morning cause I woke up shivering. Even my cats wanted to be under the blanket with me.
