Hi Kim,

I have 3 or 4 fibroids found by MRI, and an ultrasound showed cysts in my

ovaries. No one seems concerned about the cysts, so no action was taken about

them. But then again, they don't seem to have been very large (unlike my

fibroids).

Kim,

I had a very large mass on my ovary along with my fibroid. It turned

out to be a dermoid (gross!!!) that was removed laproscopically.

Because of the location of my fibroid, they couldn't take it at the

same time. My homeopath suggested a hormone imbalance that made both

grow simultaneously. I always though that interesting.

What did your doctor recomend?

Kim,

I had a very large mass on my ovary along with my fibroid. It turned

out to be a dermoid (gross!!!) that was removed laproscopically.

Because of the location of my fibroid, they couldn't take it at the

same time. My homeopath suggested a hormone imbalance that made both

thanks for the information..i havent seen a GYN yet..i was was just

told thats what i have, a cyst on my left overie and a fibroid...i'm

seeing a gyn on friday the 9th... the doctor didnt even bother to

call me and let me know what was wrong with me..i had to call them 3

times to get any info..and then wasnt told of the fibroid til 2 days

later...i'm frustrated and scared and just tired of the pain.

Hi Kim,

I had a UAE procedure on 4/18/00 at Wood Hospital in NJ..for an

enlarged fibroid (grew inside and outside of the in the meantime I developed

a few cysts on my ovaries and some polyps in the uterus.

The first step the doctor ordered for the cysts was a blood test to see if

there was any cancer present, than I was sent for a MRI and an Ultrasound.

The cysts are not causing any problems, but they will need to be watched.

I am scheduled to have a D & C on February 20, 2001, for removal of the polyps.

I always found this site very informative for me..if you have any other

questions, please write. I do not know all the medical answers for you, but

I am more than willing to share my thoughts.

Kim,

You really need to ditch that doctor. They have no right to leave

you hanging like that and begging for test results. When you go to

the gyn on Friday you'll find out a lot more. I can completely

sympathize with the pain and frustration associated with a growth on

your ovary. While I was still trying to find out what it was, I

couldn't even sleep on my stomach because the pressure was just too

great. I found that taking hot showers/baths helped me relieve the

pain. I know this is going to sound odd, but I did lots of

stretching out too. I stretched out my lower back area most. I

think that when I was having pain in my abdomen I tended to tense up

my muscles making it all worse. The stretching and hot showers made

me feel better (that and a bunch of Advil!) Good luck on Friday, let

me know what your doc says. And remember, if you don't like how they

treat you, go to someone else.

Thank you for the information..i'm new at all this so i dont know

what is happening..i'll let you know what happens friday the 9th..i

have another question for anyone who can answear...is there different

symptoms from fibroids and ovarian cysts?..i dont know what can be

causing what..i;ve been sick with different symptoms for about a year

now..any ideas?
