Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I couldn't agree with you more on the effects fibroids have on your body and life! I am finding it a struggle to move on and progress with my life as I seem to be plagued the daily niggles and pains which the fibroids bring. I am 34 years old with no children. I had a myomectomy in 1989 - the fibroids have since regrown. I would like to become a mother and feel confused about the options available UAE/Myomectomy and in which order should have them if I need to have both. Just the thought of having to go through these procedures gives me a headache! I received the alert re: the above. As a Canadian I have no idea how I can influence the NIH.Canada follows the US on most policies, but not on everything-you guys can,for example buy progesterone cream over-the-counter we cannot and if you are caught crossing the US/Can border they can impound the car etc.etc.etc. I do not know a lot about mifepristone, however,my hunch is that it can be used for early abortion purposes and so there is a moral debate here. I suffer from the same disease as most of you.Fibroids are a terrible curse.benign, yet able to make one's life a living hell.Research on all aspects of our disease should never, ever, be stopped. In fact no one has shown enough interest until enough of us became " baby boomers " in menopause. Please, what can I do to help.Let me know. All research with potential to effect change/cure of our disaese should be encouraged.
