Guest guest Posted December 13, 2000 Report Share Posted December 13, 2000 I am interested in hearing from anyone who has had a myomectomy with positive or negative results. There are several posts here from people who are happy with their myomectomies but other than having to have them repeated, not many people have reported negative outcomes. Please feel free to send me private messages if you wish. I am 37 years old with 3 daughters. I started having 2 periods per month almost ten years ago - 2-3 days very heavy (superplus tampon every three hours) then totally stopped for a week and then a " regular " period 5-7 days fairly to very light. I also first noticed infertility about that time. After two years of various tests and six months of clomid I gave up and then got pregnant with my seven year old daughter. My doctor still seems convinced it was something he did although I was not on the clomid at the time. I now have a 12 week sized uterus that seems to be full of fibroids although I have not had an ultrasound or any other definitive diagnostic tests. Although I am happy with the family I have, I don't necessarily want to exclude the possibility of any future children. I'm also worried about the chances of uterine rupture after myomectomy if I do get pregnant because I've had three C-Sections. If anyone has an experience they would be willing to share with me I would love to hear from you. I'm getting to the point that I want to do something - mainly I'm getting tired of waking up every night, sometimes twice, just to visit the bathroom (my bladder is a little cramped).
