Guest guest
Hi , Well I got my results on the ldl and thought I would pass it on. It was 117. I do take Lisinopril so I am suprized that it is over 100. Is that very high? Thanks for your help. I am serious, you need to keep a close eye on the a1c and your LDL cholesterol. Call back and see what it is and let me know. I am curious to know. > > Never just take a docs word that things are ok, you always ask for the levels so you can be educated on them and keep an eye on them. times have changed smile. > thanks. > > > again, great work Jerry! if you lived next door to me I'd be heading over to crack open a diet pepsi with you to celebrate *wink* > > > Regards, > > > >

Guest guest
That is high, Jerry. They are definately recommending under 100 and for diabetics, they are now recommending under 60. Keep at it-and you'll get there! Re: jerry and your a1c of 5.9 Hi , Well I got my results on the ldl and thought I would pass it on. It was 117. Guest guest
well, 117 is not bad but try to get it 100 or less as a diabetic. A person who is not diabetic can run 100 to 130 and that is considered normal range. However, research and agressive docs, not the average joe type docs, say if you are diabetic, your LDL should be 100 or less which greatly reduces the risk of stroke since most diabetics die from strokes/heart attacks/kidneys etc. thanks for shareing, keep up the good work, and in another 2 months get another a1c done and cholesterol and see what your a1c and LDL are at that time. The lower the a1c is, the lower the LDL is typically. BTW hats off on that a1c of 5.9... I'm still smiling real big over that one jerry! You got it under 6! nice work! Guest guest
gosh, I never heard of someone with that ow of a colesteral or LDl. Was the doc concerned that you didn't have enough fat in your body? the body does require a certain amount of fat to build nerve tissue and make certain hormones. I sure don't know what the minimum amount is needed, however. Re: jerry and your a1c of 5.9 Hello, When I went to the doctor last month, I was told that my total cholesterol is 71 and my LDL is 29. Guest guest
I heard the same thing to day. some times I wonder though, if the drug industry isn't the ones behind this sudden push to lower your cholesterol lower then first thought? some health doctors that I hear on the radio, think that the main stream meda, makes to big of a deal about cholesterol being bad for your health. they say that your cholesterol is high for other reasons and you should find out the other reasons why and treat them. they say that to low of cholesterol is just as bad as to high. I guess it is just like any thing else in this world that we live in, you can hear both sides of any issue that there is, you just need to decide which side you are going to believe and trust and go with it. jerry and your a1c of 5.9 > > > > nice work jerry! nice, nice, nice, work! > > > > call back and ask what your ldl cholesterol was.
