Guest guest
Shel, I have always been taught to use the plural form. I have looked them both up, just so I was sure I knew what I was talking about, and I would say that it would always be sclerae and conjunctivae, except when a person only has one eye. That's my 2 cents. Margaret >>> " Watt " 06/07/01 08:54PM >>> I've been wondering about this for weeks, so now I'll take the time to ask. On " samples " that my old boss gave me awhile back (transcribed by *her* actually), under the PHYSICAL EXAMINATION, I noticed all her transcripts read: .... sclera anicteric, conjunctiva pink ... Am I wrong in thinking this should be " sclerae anicteric, conjunctivae pink (all plural)? Haven't been called on it, but just want to know in MY mind which it should be. Thank you, Shel
