The _best choice_ is the one that will do him the most good. And that,

currently, is

going HyPo for testing.

Would you rather not have operated on for a burst appendix, just

because the surgeon must perform surgery that causes pain & discomfort??

I think not.

That is.. you want for _him_ (not for yourself as a mother) the best-possible

chance for good health and well being. Choose for yourself what you want.. but

choose for him what it is that he needs. And that is.. the best possible care

that is currently available!

Genzyme's pitch-line should be.. " come into my web said the spider to the

fly " .

It has a product (Thyrogen) which is a distant 2nd best in all technical

category's regarding thyroid cancer detection.

Unless or until I am dx'd terminally-ill, I won't allow any experimentation

done on me while there is an _existing_, proven and accepted, best possible

choice (going hypo) for Thyroid Cancer detection.

It is o.k. for people to volunteer for something on their own. But as parents

and guardians of/for our children.. our duty to/for them must come before our

" feelings " for ourselves.

A guinea-pig, I'm not. And Thyrogen.. I won't!

Your feelings for him to feel good are proper but, you must provide a path for

him to _be_ good, as well.
