Guest guest
- I guess I didn't understand what you were asking. If you don't want to cook with garlic or nuts or seeds, use whatever flavorings you want. Any spices (or none) are fine. Use salt and pepper. Or not. I truly do understand about not wanting any fuss; I wasn't up for any cooking at all when I was on the diet, and any meals I prepared were done in a single pan or less. That's why I suggested using a juicer or blender for one-glass meals and listed some prepared frozen foods that have been approved by at least one endo who focuses a lot of attention to making the diet easier. That's also why I suggested, in all seriousness, asking friends to help out. Your suggestions to were excellent, however, and imply that you were doing more food prep on the diet than I understand from your letter below (and more than I did when I was hypo). If you truly want a meal plan, just ask! Tell us just how much prep time you're willing to spend on a meal (is 5 minutes okay?), and what kinds of foods you want (or are willing) to eat. I'm sure that among the 200+ people on this list, we can come up with some suggestions that will suit you. Or, you can follow Marilyn's lead and live on fresh fruits and vegetables for 2 weeks. (at least I think it was Marilyn; I can't find the letter now. Please forgive me if it was someone else). Actually, I think it's a great idea to come up with a second LID cookbook for non-cooks. If anyone wants to make any suggestions or contributions toward that, please send them to me; I'll put 'em all together and post it for the group. - katie christine_stier@... wrote: > ...
