Guest guest
It's been warmer here lately. It was near 80 yesterday and abotu 65 today. I seem to do better when it's sunny. Today it rained ALL DAY and the air is very moist and humid. It's cold, but the air is just so thick with moisture. I feel like crap! and so so tired. --- Kristy Sokoloski wrote: > I know we had a thread talking about the weather the > other day > so wanted to find out how everyone's fibro is today. > I had a > bit of a flare yesterday around my neck on the left > side and > left shoulder but so far not too bad today. Guest guest
Hi there, I am finding that cool, moist weather aggravates my condition greatly. When the weather is good, I seem to not have as much pain. I wonder why this is. Also, 4 years ago I was in a car accident and the areas of my body that were injured are greatly affected. The pain seems to radiate from those spots. Is this common with FMS? I even have days when it hurts terribly to brush my teeth. What works best for you for relief? Thanks, Norene --- Amy Swinderman wrote: > It's been warmer here lately. It was near 80 > yesterday > and abotu 65 today. I seem to do better when it's > sunny. Guest guest
Unfortunately, I don't take meds for relief. My doctor has not prescribed them. He put me on 10 mg of Doxepin, an anti-depressant, to help me sleep better, but it made me sleep worse, so I stopped taking it and now I take Tylenol PM before bed and sleep well. I take ibuprofen or Tylenol during the day if I feel bad. I try to watch my diet, drink lots of water, don't overexert myself, and get 30 minutes of cardio exercise a day. --- N T wrote: > Hi there, > I am finding that cool, moist weather aggravates my > condition greatly. Guest guest
Norene, cool, moist weather causes me so much pain. Today is one of those days. I hurt all over... but again mostly my legs and my back, and I have no energy. Everyone has probably tried many things for the pain. I know I have. There are times when I have to take narcotics, which I don't like to, but when nothing works you have no choice. I've also noticed with myself, that my emotions and pain are directly conected. No doubt you FM was brought to the forefront from the accident. It's usually a trauma at some point that will do it. I also doesn't have to be physical trauma... emotional trauma can do it too. For me, I had years of falling off horses, car accident, falling over on my motorcycle, and then about 10 years of intense mental trauma. I lost most of my family in that time, grandmother, aunts, uncles, mother and father. There are times I wonder why I'm not in a mental hospital. But we push on to the best of our ability. Right now I'm dealing with the prospect of losing my job. It's not helping the pain and fatigue. I hope you can find someone who understands your condition and can give you some help. Also, since those of us with fibro tend to forget things, write everything down so that you know what to tell the doc. Hope this helps somewhat. Guest guest
Norene, Yep - the weather most definately has an impact on my pain. I can tell it's going to rain HOURS before it does rain -- even though the sky is blue and clear as a bell: I know the rain is coming. We're human berometers.... LOL! For relief: what works best for me is Lortab & valium for muscle relaxer. But, i sure could use something stronger than Lortab for my bad days. Aloooooha! -jaaaaaaaana Re: Good afternoon everyone Hi there,I am finding that cool, moist weather aggravates mycondition greatly. When the weather is good, I seemto not have as much pain.
