Guest guest
Hello, All, I am happy to say that I will soon be leaving this group. I mostly lurked trying to find answers for my 25 year old daughter who got vulvar vestibulitis three years ago after sex with a new partner. She woke up burning at various points on her vestibule and it didn't quit for 3 years. She also had an inflamed cervix for 3 years. She saw a specialist in Atlanta, then flew twice out to see Dr. in Arizona, as well as some various other gyns. No one could tell her what was causing it. She had biopsies, as well as all the tests for stds. Nothing ever showed up. No yeast, no bacteria, no stds, no nothing. She tried long-term Diflucan out of desperation even tho she never had a yeast infection; tried estrogen pills, along with a steroid shot in the cervix for the inflammation, courtesy of Dr. ; also estrace, Protopic, acupuncture, various and sundry herbs and alternative medicine. None of which worked, altho I must say her burning got slightly better with time. However, she was still unable to have sex because of the burning. She had almost resigned herself to a life of celibacy. About two months ago she went to a new lady gyn for her pap smear.
