Guest guest
To any of you adult women with Mito, Do you experience PMS? I wonder if there is a connection between PMS and Mito. I've been reading up on it and the research points to causes such as inbalances in hormone levels, magnesium deficiency or B12 deficiency. On article also suggested 6 small meals a day to keep insulin levels balanced. I wonder if Mito could cause these inbalances? From what I've read, I am pretty sure that I have severe PMS. I checked off 15 or the 14 symptoms listed and they most definately occur in a cyclical manner. My poor husband is begging me to see the doctor to get treatment but from what I've read, there doesn't seem to be any treatment available except for possible vitamin supplementation and giving up caffeine, sugar, salt, dairy, wt. flour and meat. Geez, what's left to eat except fruits and veggies?? Do any of you know of any effective treatment for this? Is it worth my time to visit the doctor? I have to do something, I can't take the depression and mood swings any longer, nor can my husband. It is possible that I have mito. Should I be concerned about taking Magnesium? The articles suggested 250mg a day. Lori
