Guest guest
Hi EveryOne, Isocort: according to the label it says Isocort is the " Adrenal Cortex " : the Adrenal Cortex produces over 50 hormones which would include: DHEA, Pregnenolone, Aldosterone, the sex hormones and Cortisol. However I have been unable to clarify exactly how much of each, or even of Cortisol, is in Isocort. It would be very helpful to know! If anyone gets a chance please ask their doctor to find this out. Bezwecken who manufactures Isocort will only give this information to medical professionals... Cortef is just cortisol and does not contain the other hormones. Guest guest
Does anyone know a chemist who can help do a breakdown? That might be worth a try! Patti in MI re: Isocort and Cortef Hi , Yes, my joints also hurt when I took too much kelp, they swelled and made it difficult to bend them. I have that problem in my fingers especially. As far as the Isocort goes, I can't say for sure but I do not find it variable in it's effect so it seems to me to be quite consistent dose to dose. The only difference I noticed on 5mg hydrocortone was a subtle steadiness. I liked that feeling but not the stomach irritation. For me at least, the dose of cortisol felt the same in Isocort and Cortef. Maybe one day Bezwecken will tell some doc or nurse or " health care professional " what is in it and we'll all find out!!! BTW did everyone see the response I finally got from the doc about thyroid hormone secretion? She says thyroid hormone is secreted evenly thoughout the day and night in a healthy person. So that makes dosing often day and before bed and upon rising as Topper does make the most sense. One day all the questions will be answered, but probaly not in this lifetime:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev But, you know what keeps eating at me, Bev...is I wonder if they WANT us to think that, and so write on the bottle we should not exceed 8 per day...most supplements do have a suggested dosage...pinning them down to the actual amount is so elusive. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
