Annette Re: Re: Grim Reaper over shoulder/OT cat/ DY I worked for a vet here in town and know what this is, the only way to help him is to run a cath and express the urine and get the plug out of the way. He did it on his own twice before and now it appears there is a large lump behind the plug. I have been able to express a little urine, but he is in pain and I am a zombie. So there we are.....thanks for the info. Debi1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Debi, I have to tell you how sorry I am that I didn't respond sooner about your precious kitty. It was so difficult for me to read it... I cried with each post. I had a beautiful Persion named Luke (reg. name... Royal Paws Scandinavian Skies). He was my baby. I knew he was having some trouble and I was going to call the vet. I had to work overtime that night so I was going to call the next day... he didn't make it. He died in his sleep curled up on the couch. I found him when I came home from working overtime. At the time, I didn't really care about the cost... as it was I was driving my motorcycle to work because I couldn't afford gas for the car. I've never forgiven myself. I'm glad kitty is home and no kidney damage.
