Tartrate (bitartrate) is a yeast byproduct that is fairly toxic, and

is one of the things tested for to see if you have a yeast problem.

You want to avoid supplements like choline and DMAE in the bitartrate

form. Any other form is fine.

Bill Shaw talks about this in his book.

Where do you get a B-complex supplement without the Bitratrate? If Kirkman's

doesn't have it then who does? Any suggestions......

RE: [ ] Avoid tartrate and bitartrate in supplements

Does everybody need to avoid this, or is this people that have a yeast

problem?

You failed to mention that this is what " cream of tartar " is. Everybody that

does not have an egg " thing " in one way or another might not think about

eating meringue even if they are trying to avoid bitartrate. I am not sure

what else " cream of tartar " is used for, but it is something to look out

for.

I can't say anything for sure right now, it is getting late and my eyes are

failing, but, try looking at liquid supplements. The Super Nu-Thera liquid

doesn't have it (that I can see), neither does some sublingual B-complex

that I got at a health food store. Cream of tartar is scrapings from an oak

wine cask (simply put), and is used in some foods as a " smoother, " I assume

it is the same in other things, (like supplements) to keep things " even. "

Shaklee is an MLM Company.

Here is their corporate website: http://www2.shaklee.com/company/index.cfm

and their is a " Find A Distributor " link at the bottom of that page.

However, I would ask this list first if there are any Shaklee Distributors as it

would

be a courtesy to shop from them (IMO).

I am familiar with their products (although I have never used them). They have

a

reputation of being very good.

I have heard that their B Complex is especially good.

Hope this helps.

Blessings,

Lea Ann

You can e-mail me off list if you'd like. I am a distributor for Shaklee

products.
