Guest guest
First, please let me say that I do not represent West Corp so this is not commercial it's personal. Anyway, I subcontract with West for work as an " at home agent " . It is the perfect situtation for me (since winning a jackpot at pogo.com wasn't panning out) and hopefully others may benefit. Basically you have to have a computer and an extra line or dsl/broadband and be able to read. It's easy and the best part is you can schedule your own hours. The hours can be in 1/2, 1, or 2 hour increments. And you can stack your hours to make up to an 8 hour shift or only work a 1/2 hour. They pay you $0.17/min or more and it is legit. Calls are routed to you & your computer, a script pops up on your computer, you read it, and enter the info into the computer. I've been doing it since December to supplement my SSDI and for the most part have enjoyed it. I told my aunt about it and she likes it, too. The best part is that I have gained a sense of accomplishment in my days that I didn't have before trying to work again. You can find out more at wwwdotworkathomeagentdotcom. It's not something you'll get rich at by any means but if I work 4 hours a day for 4 days it is an extra $350-$400 a month. At least it pays for the gasoline for hubby to get to work. LOL I know there's a lot of us that need extra income and have it be as stress free as possible. I have anxiety problems so it does still stress me having a schedule but I seem to be extra-super-sensitive to stress. Sorry, forgot my audience, I think you all may know what I mean...LOL Just an idea! Beth
Guest guest
ARG - i went in to register, got almost all the way through it and then hit CANCEL instead of CONTINUE by mistake and didnt have enough patience to go back in and try it again.... LOL!!!!!!!!!! Here's my concern & something i wanted to alert you all to: This is an INDEPENDANT CONTRACTOR JOB. So keep in mind: 4% of your gross income goes to income tax, then you've got the regular state tax (not ALL states) + ofcourse federal tax..... your final income won't come out to very much at all. This is the main reason why i didn't go back and pursue this more.... just didn't seem worth it. BUT, i appreciate you sharing this info Beth!! aloooooooooha! jaaaaana For those that need extra income... Guest guest
Actually it is Contractual work, which means that no taxes are taken off of your pay. But you are responsible for your taxes when the season comes around again. It states that very clearly in the pre-amble before you register. Karis For those that need extra income... While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Right, I said I am a subcontractor. When I figure my taxes next year it'll be about 15% of what I made to pay for Medicare & Social Security. I will not pay State & Federal taxes but Self Employment taxes. However, I write off my second phone line, the purchase of my computer, my interent connection, ect. I know it's not much but I get so tired of being trapped in my house without human contact until hubby comes home. It has given me a sense of worth that I was definately lacking. Plus I'll be able to put telecommuting on my resume someday. Just trying to help! Beth > Actually it is Contractual work, which means that no taxes are taken off of your pay. Guest guest
Maybe I gave you the wrong site...hang on....nope - right site http://www.wahm.com/ They don't charge you anything. There is advertising on the page from other companies - but the ladies there don't charge a thing and actually have a lot of information about avoiding scams. Also, if you are thinking about network marketing/business opportunities - the ladies in the forums there have tried just about everything and have some good advice. Sorry about the confusion! ~ www.wahm.com wants 39.95 for their 'start up kit' ... that smells like a scam to me. Karis
