Guest guest
Hi `,…….wow! 50 is so young. SA can cause heart problems, and I didn’t know I had a problem with mine, until I was tested a year ago, and they dx’ed Diastolic Heart Failure. I don’t have high BP which usually causes that, so I can only assume it came on after many years of having apnea and not knowing it, or doing anything about it. DHF causes the heart not to be able to relax in between beats. I worry about long term effects from that? We now are placing a high importance of building up emergency supplies. I don’t know how you did it for 8 days. I’m 56, and I think my age is starting to be felt too. I hate to admit that though!! Lol…. Jackie I'm soo glad you made it okay with no ill efects. We just lost a friend at the age of 50 who had sleep apnea and was not receiving treatment. He just stopped breathing in his sleep. And he was a very healthy 50, no diseases, not overweight, raced mowers with my husband. I'm soo thankful ya'll made it. We had an ice storm in 2000 when I was pregnant with Meg (7 1/2 months) and we were without electricity for 8 days and three of those we had no water also. We Texans don't know how to react. But I tell you now, if they say a front is coming through, my cabinet is stocked and my truck has emergency supplies because we also had people stranded on the interstate.
