Guest guest
Hi everyone, I had my weekly checkup and my (almost weekly LOL) US yesterday and today, so I thought I'd post a quick update. The news is mixed. The baby is looking fine, he is now at 6 lbs. 3 oz., and my amniotic fluid levels have been upgraded to " average " , from low-normal before, so that's the good news. The bad news is that the baby is still breech, and not only breech but FOOTLING BREECH, which means that he's " sitting " cross-legged, with the feet down, which means that during birth, he would most likely present feet-first, not butt-first. This effectively eliminates any hope I had for a trial of labour and I guess I now know I am guaranteed a c-section. It has been tentatively scheduled for Jan. 18th, which puts me at about 38 weeks + a couple of days. Not to rehash all of this again, but needless to say, I am extremely unhappy with this news, in spite of all the positives, I just can't stop crying. Given that I have no choice, I guess now I must mobilize to get caretakers for my other two kids and prepare for my surgery. Is there such a thing as " post-partum depression " prior to delivery?? I know that some of you have been kind enough to offer me a copy of a c-section birth plan (?) as well as words of advice and suggestions/tips for recovery. Could you please send them to me at lia@... ?? Thank you in advance for all your support. Take care, Lia UD, 35 wks + with baby boy#3, EDD Jan 18,
