I have not seen this, nor can I document it. Any help with would be greatly

appreciated. TIA

INDICATIONS: The patient has a history of stroke and he has had problems

with cough and postnasal drip, and uses *thicken it* to eat food.

, My hospital uses something called Thick-It, but I believe it is their own

blend as I have seen it in the hospital pharmacy but have never seen it in a

drug book. That may be the case here. I would type it as Thicken It, or call

your hospital pharmacy to make sure. Margaret

Hi ,

There are a few web sites that sell it. Here is one

http://www.imaginart.com/2000/2170.htm .

" Diafoods® Thick-It

Thick-It has a quick mix formula which dissolves instantly. It is an

excellent cornstarch-based powder which will thicken liquids, making it

easier for the client with dysphagia to swallow without coughing or choking.

Use Original Diafoods Thick-It for moderate thickening. Or use Thick-It 2,

with double thickening power, for maximum thickening. Both Thick-It and

Thick-It 2 come in portion controlled packets (no measuring needed). "
