Guest guest
Yes, we will be having Christmas with Challis and her family! She's such a good sport to put up with an extra 7 people messing up her house and kitchen. lol That will make a total of 8 kids ages 3 to 19. What do your kids think of going to a Holiday Inn this year? Sharon I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering. [sPAM] Spasms hit hard last night I am reaching out to all of my friends & compadres here this early morning just to tell someone who understands. The spasms hit hard during the night. It was about 1:30 a.m. when I first roused to the feeling of my big toe on the left leg stretching up. I was so sleep that I didn't realize what was happening at first and I tried to stretch my foot down. BIG mistake! My left leg went into full flexed spasms and then the right leg did too. The right leg went into the other type of spasms with the deep, severe painful spasms. Years ago I described those spasms to my neuro as a "charley horse times a thousand". I went to two store yesterday where I had to walk. I used regular grocery carts and I felt the fatigue after the second store. Then I went to Wal Mart but I used a ride on scooter. Add to this that I am fight a cold. The adults in the house are the only ones without a cold. My two oldest grandsons (Challis' boys) are visiting me for several weeks and the 16 y/o came down with a cold after he was here. So my muscles were tired when I went to bed. Then I felt cold and put an extra comforter on the bed. When I woke with the spasms I was really hot from the extra blanket and I'm sure that also contributed. The spasm were so painful. When those kind of spasms hit I usually get one deep in my inner thigh. It's like a tornado and I can feel the muscles twisting all the way to to thigh bone, I swear. lol I couldn't move because any movement at all increased the intensity of the spasms. I had to fight the involuntary urge to cry out--I fought it because I don't want to scare the stuffin' out of my grandkids. I finally was able to reach to my nightstand drawer and feel for my meds. I took an extra 10 mg. of Baclofen and an extra Klonopin (clonazapam) . I was as still as possible and the meds took hold and I finally was able to go back to sleep. At bedtime I already take 60 mgs. of Baclofen, 800 mgs. of Neurontin, and 1 and a half Klonopin. I'm gonna play around with my dosing today (increasing the Neurontin and Klonopin) and do my stretching. What do YOU do when you are hit with these kind of spasms?I am bummed by this because I always worry that my MS is progressing even further, you know? I was supposed to see my neuro on the 14th but it's been rescheduled to the 29th. love to all of you,Sharon I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering. <!--[if !supportLineBreakNe wLine]--><!--[endif]--> Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo!
