Learning to pause during my meal

I was one of those people who would sit down in front of the TV to eat

dinner and the next time I looked at my plate, it was empty. Now, when

I sit down, I divide my meal in half and when I get done with the first

half, I pause to determine my hunger level. If I am still hungry I

keep eating, but if I am at a 6 or 7, I stop eating. Having my meal

physically cut in half has really helped me to not eat paste the point

of comfort.
