Guest guest
Hi Tara, Thanks for your message of encouragement. I guess overall the news about the baby is good, although the odds that he'll turn at 35+ weeks, with a didelphic uterus (basically 1/2 the size of a " normal " uterus) is fairly small. I've been trying all the things you commonly read about, like exercises on a slant board, and chiropractic adjustments, but it's not doing any good. My issues with the c-section are kind of complicated. It's very disappointing to be facing that now, considering that I've had two vaginal deliveries already. I also have two very small children - 4 year old and a 1 1/2 year old. Trying to take care of them AND a new born AND recover from surgery just seems really scary. They are two VERY active boys who very rarely sit still. My 1 1/2 year old is still very used to being picked up and he's very attached to me. My 4 year old goes to pre-school for the mornings and needs to be driven and picked up every day. I do have some help from my parents and in- laws, but not 24/7, which is what it sounds like I will need. I have also done research that suggests that breech vaginal deliveries are possible and CAN be uncomplicated, especially for 2nd+ babies, who are small (like mine have been). This is why I was hoping for a trial of labour, but with a foot-first presentation, that is not possible. Anyway, I don't mean to rehash all this, I guess my best option now is just try to make the best arrangements for my family that I can and try to come to terms with what's ahead. I am really grateful for the support/advice from the moms here who have " been there " . I am sure I'll survive, just like they did. It's just not the birth experience I was hoping for. Thanks for your concern and take care, don't worry, you didn't upset me, I feel like I am really upsetting myself by dwelling on the negatives so much. I definitely need an attitude adjustment Lia
