Good Morning All!

My we are a chatty bunch aren't we?

Just some thoughts on the past posts I just got done reading. As for

birthday cake? I say eat it with out guilt. If we try to convince

ourselves that we can never again have a piece of birthday cake - then why

bother losing all this weight - we'd be miserable anyway. I think the trick

here is to learn moderation - that means you get some of the good stuff -

just not so much to ruin things.

Elana - you can report to me! I don't have a tread mill yet - I'm still

working on that, but maybe I could return the reports on at least something

that would be exercise. I have several tapes, etc., that I keep telling

myself that I need to do.

My tip for the day - stop " trying " start " doing " . Every time I tell myself

that I'll " try " to do something - or " try " not to do something - rarely do I

succeed. I have to get more stern with myself - I will do such & such or I

will not do such & such. No " maybes " or " trying " about - I'll either do it

or not.

On that note I will do my Tape I bought second hand on eBay

several weeks ago today. I've never even plugged it in the VCR yet - today

is the day! I will do it, and I'll report to Elana!

OK - commence with chatting again :)

Couldn't have said it better myself! Since I have been losing weight

and people started noticing, everyone asks what diet are you on? I tell

them adamantly, no diet, don't believe in them! It is portion control,

balance. when you eat " normal " amounts of food, not super sized and

increase your activity level you will lose weight. I have actually had

some people ask me if I'm sick because I've lost soo much weight!

" shaking head " I was huge and am still wearing mostly 16s, I am far

from skinny. I tell them, oh no I'm just fine, this has been very much

on purpose!!!! LOL

Good luck with the new tapes and VCR. I used to do a

tape. It got me going! He gets a but annoying after awhile, lol. But he

is a wonderful person. He has helped sooo many people!

waiting for that. i'm so proud of you, and i know how you're feeling

Congrats on the weight loss!! Yes we all have to make sure we don't

overdo it when we are first starting out because it seems people give

up easier at the first from being tired or sore. Keep up the good

work and I hope you have a great work out at the gym. Watch those

night snacks.

Good for you! Yes it was a good thing if your body was demanding it.

Being rested is as important as being active. If you over do it you can

get injured. It's all balance.

Good for you! Yes it was a good thing if your body was demanding it.

Hi Terri,

I think I was doing the same thing. I knew about keeping your finger

on the strip, but I just never done it because also ways get enough

blood on the strip.

Hi ,

I just checked my sugar again at 11:00 and it went back up. The

voicemate said that my sugar was 193 and my little machine said that

my sugar was 177. I will let you no what it is when I check it at 5:00.

Hi Otis.

Thanks for the update. You seriously have to get on lantus insulin to keep your

in between meal sugars down. Please call your doctor today and ask him to

prescribe it for you.

Me and Pat, a retired nurse on list here, and others like Harry who are seasoned

in this can help you adjust the insulin you just need to get it.
