For those who work in outpatient, do you have a number of pts you are

expected to see? For example- 50, 60 pt month, what is the goal? I am

especially interested in those who do one on one counseling how many can you

see and what is the duration of your appts?

What is the no show rate? I am trying to tell my boss I do all my other work

during no-shows, that I actually rely on them.

If you work 8 hours, how many pts do you think you could handle a day on an

on going basses? We schedule 6 pts for 8 hours and if they all come, often

we get behind on charting and have to catch up on a day that we have

no-shows or cancellations. At the end of the session we also make the f/u

appt. Because of the population I see, I have 1 hour f/u appts and if I get

done early, again, I do my other duties (calls etc...) Anything about your

present or past experience is helpful. I think it is important for outpt RDs

to help administration understand that if you doing behavior modification

and not just education, you need time; there is a process that must take

place.

Thanks,
