Guest guest
I like to know where you can buy 1 stalk of celery. It also does not say what type of work this person does. I can't see 'working' at any job on that little caloric intake. No mention of weight loss but that was not the point of the month. There are also a lot of assumptions like availability of coupons. Very few real people would be able to pull this off and work at a job not house sitting. This is just a repeat of feeding a family of four on $10 a week. Just because you can do it does not mean a thing. I would like to see this person do it for lets say 6 months and see how things change. Guest guest
That is a crazy story. I didn't realize that if you bought bathroom cleaner you would get bottles of salad dressing for free, although I am not sure I would want Catalina in my refrig - I like lemon or vinegar. Does anyone on here use coupons? I would love to hear what everyone here is doing for " couponing " - On Sun, Jun 13, 2010 at 8:22 PM, Jackie Chase wrote: > I like to know where you can buy 1 stalk of celery. Guest guest
IF at least half of the coupons are for " real food " - devoid of artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners, I'd also be interested. I happen to have, currently, coupons from Eden foods, Organic Valley diary, many truly healthy, even organic foods, and WILL use them on products I currently buy. But, if it takes me 10 minutes to save a $, I only " made " $6/hour, so not at all worth my time, unless I was a person making minimum wage. But, I agree with others, most coupons are for products I don't buy and would never recommend others buy. Does anyone on > here use coupons? > I would love to hear what everyone here is doing for " couponing " - Almost all the coupons I see are for stuff I never eat or use. I use vinegar insteadof rinse agent in my dishwasher, also instead of softener in my laundry, and am about to start making my own laundry detergent. I rarely see coupons for fresh produce, and even so, I try to buy organic as much as possible. We never buy packaged cookies, etc., or canned soups, or very many canned goods at all. So I gave up looking at coupons years ago. - ne
Guest guest
Not that I've gotten into it enough yet, but apparently there are lots of coupons for meats and vegetables that you can get. There are also several websites that show you what's on sale at your supermarket each week and which coupon insert you'll find the coupon in so you don't have to cut them out ahead of time. The prices also cycle so you can stock up when the prices are lowest. I learned this from reading Jill Cataldo in our newspaper each week. If you really follow it you can save a lot of money which would be worthwhile (but like I said I haven't gotten around to it yet!).  Also Catalina is a type of coupon not the salad dressing - the one that prints out at the register.
