Guest guest
and his wife, last I checked were doing fine. (Yes, is the drummer :-) , bless his sweet, kind heart...I'm still praying he's ok. I personal e-mailed with him back and forth since he joined looking for a weight loss buddy. Great guy. He was realy getting the hang of it and doing great - then had a heart attack. I don't know if he ever made it out of the hospital :-( Unfortunatly the address I had vanised (that whole yahoo thing) - so fingers are crossed he gets my messages and is ok. Mark is fine as a fiddle and dodging / chasing the girls. The fittness guy - Darrel - he has a pretty bussy life but pops in - his website may be in the links :-) Ang > Ladies, I can tell you this from my experience and hope your will be different. Most of the women in our family have large upper arms to begin with. I lost 95 lbs and it is just extra skin that hangs there. It has to be CUT off ! ewe And I also know that spot reducing does NOT work. You can muscle up but fat, when it leaves, leaves in all places. You can't make it go away in any certain spot. It's just an overall weight loss. I wished it weren't so but it is. > I say ladies because even though we do have one guy here, this is mostly a female issue. I wonder what happened to those other guys? Remember the trainer guy, I think his name was . And then there was the drummer, maybe he was . I don't know. Then we had one man who had allot to loose who had an accident at work. I know where our friend went. Oh well, I guess it's ok that we don't have allot of men here cause we are always talking about female issues. Hey, maybe that is what shooed them off? Hope not. > Hope everyone is having a great day and wish you a great weekend. I am still praying for you guys. Joanne, miss chatting with you. Hope the grandbaby is doing good. She's such a doll. > Hugs, Tina > Re: What do you eat? > > > > > What a wonderful thing to know about strawberries ! Got any more of > those > > secrets ? Guest guest
well stacy, i am glad for you. but that is YOU! and i can tell you that no matter how many weights i lift, there is not getting rid of EXCESS skin that CANNOT shrink down to a normal size person. It just isnt possible. Again, I am very happy for you. Plus, age seems to make a difference. I bet heredity makes a difference too. I only lost 15 or so lbs. But I could tell initially that the skin on my legs was a little " lose " . It's now sort of shrinking down and looking better. So, my cellulite dimpling is going away. And I don't mean the fat is going away anymore. The appearance of cellulite is affected by flabby skin as well and the amount of underlying fat. It seems to me that it takes the skin time to " catch up " . I imagine that the amount of time would be much, much greater if you had more skin to shrink down. For some people, this might be SO long that you feel the need to cut the skin off! (Who would want to wait 20 years? Plus if you're middle aged, the skin may never shrink.) I bet lots of you can figure out your opinion about skin shrinkage based on what happened after you had a baby. Did the skin shrink 0%? Did it shrink 100%? How long did it take to shrink? (Maybe you were too busy those first 6 months to notice the skin was shrinking? ) I bet the answer is that the skin shrank somewhere between 0% and 100% -- and it took some time to shrink.
