Guest guest
It’s too bad the paper allowed comments about this type of thing. I can see reporting the accident, but then to have comments was cruel. I’d complain to the paper. Freedom of speech is wonderful as long as it doesn’t hurt others, IMHO. Your friends family needed time to adjust before they were subjected to insensitive remarks by members of their community or where ever those people were from. My condolences to you and his family. Hugs, Jackie p/s my Step-Aunt also died yesterday. She is the third relative to die on a holiday. My dad passed on St. ’s Day, and hubbies dad, July 4th. :-( From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On Behalf Of Shirley Sent: Friday, November 24, 2006 10:15 AM To: aishirls Subject: friend died A friend I've known since Kindergarden was killed while hunting. Guest guest
Aw, Shirley, I'm so sorry. I followed the link you gave and read the brief article on your friend. Has there been anything more? Also, against my better judgement, I intended to read the comments posted. I know most online papers I've read have the comments directly under the article, but I didn't see any there. I looked around a bit and couldn't find them. It may be that I'm just not a good searcher (and I'm not). However, I'm hoping that the paper removed the comments and that they're not allowing anymore. Without reading the comments posted, I can imagine what they were like. People can be so incredibly cruel and unfortunately they allow their personal, and often passionate, opinions to stand in the way of compassion and good judgement. I am so sorry his family, as well as his friends, were subjected to that. HUGS, Challis Shirley wrote: A friend I've known since Kindergarden was killed while hunting.
