While I absolutely adored being pregnant, I just couldn't deal with (possibly) 3 handicapped kids. I love my kids to death and wouldn't want it any other way, but 2 is enough. My parents would agree -- I was the first, they opted for a second and got my brother, more mildly affected but still too ornery at 43 to be tested. They've never regretted either of us. It sounds like the questions haven't changed a bit over the years. 29 years ago - when I was pregnant with - I was asked the very same questions. I can't begin to comprehend what my life would have been like without her. I loved every minute of being her Mom - still do for that matter.
