Guest guest Posted May 25, 2006 Report Share Posted May 25, 2006 Position Starting: June 15, 2006 (estimated) Description: This position is part of an international research project entitled " Examining ART adherence issues in Bangalore, India, " conducted by the University of California, San Francisco, Center for AIDS Prevention Studies and St. 's Medical College. This is a Research Interviewer position at St. 's Medical College and Hospital. The Study is a 3-year study involving qualitative in-qualitative and quantitative interviews with People living with HIV (PHAs), HIV Medical Providers, and family members of PHAs. The interviewer will recruit patient participants from St. 's clinic sites, other collaborating sites and administer an interview according to study protocols and an interview guide. The interviewer will also schedule patient participants for follow up visits and assist outreach workers in tracking efforts. Required Qualifications: Ability to speak, read and write Kannada. (Candidates who cannot speak, read and write Kannada fluently need not apply) Ability to speak and read Telugu or Ability to speak Tamil will be an added advantage. Should be fluent in speaking English. Ability to establish rapport and work effectively with individuals of different ethnicities, socio-economic status, caste, gender, and sexual orientation Outstanding interpersonal communication skills Organized and detail oriented Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule Preferred Qualifications: Educational requirements: • Master's degree in an appropriate social science discipline (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc.) or equivalent training for interviewers conducting quantitative survey • Previous interviewing experience • Ability to work with MS Excel an advantage Salary: Rs.10,000 - 12,000/- pm Duration of employment: 12 months (Extendable if required by project) Interested candidates may send their Biodata to: The Project Manager Prerana-ART Adherence Study 211, 1st Floor, West Wing, St. 's Medical College, Bangalore 34 or email to adherence@... and CC to charlesallwin@...
