I just wanted to point out that according to my Abbreviation book, the

correct abbreviation for Centigray is cGy. As a matter of fact, I've made it

a word expander since it's difficult hitting the shift key in the right

place, so I made it cgy which expands to cGy. Hope this helps :)

Sorry, didn't mean anything by that, it was just something that jumped out at

me -- You know that perfection disease we MTs suffer from , but heaven knows

I sure type things in emails sometimes that I'm so spoiled not having to

correct because they are in my autocorrects. The only way I know of to get

them to work in email is to type the email in the proggie that uses the

autocorrects, and then copy and paste to email, if that's possible. I

can't seem to find any posts that questioned p*arytenoid, or I would have

taken a stab at it if I had more context. As usual, I'm getting answers to

things before I get the questions.. typical. :/

Pt underwent radiation treatments ...

Treatments were delivered with an en face 6 MEV electron field in 200 cgy

fractions. She tolerated the therapy well, and lesion granulated in from the

outside. At completion, there was a 1 cm s/l ** skin abid **; this should

resolve over the next several weeks.

.... This is the best sound-alike I can offer. Think I can hear " skin " fairly

clearly but don't have a clue what doc is saying after that. It may be

something rather simple - just can't get it.

TIA!!!

Hi Shel,

Here is a shot in the dark. I found skin bridge in Stedman's Radiology though

I'm not sure what it means. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Could this be parathyroid?

Hi Jan,

Yep, I do know that and transcribe it as " cGy " - 'twas in a REAL rush when

posting and should have caught it myself before hitting " send. " Thanks for

pointing that out tho' !! I, too, have it in autocorrect as " cGy " whenever I

type " cgy " . Too bad my autocorrect entries don't extend over to my e-mail ...

or can it be set up that way? That would save me loads of time proofing my

posts.

My question was on the " p*arytenoid " - any ideas on that one?

Thanks,

Shel
