Guest guest
You are allowed two cups of skim or 1% milk per day on Phase I now. > I'm also new to the list, and I have a funny question I haven't seen yet. I am (er, was right now) a BIG milk drinker. I'm finding the hardest part of phase one for me, is not having a big glass of milk with each of my meals. I don't care for the flavor of tomato juice, and drinking only water is driving me nuts. I'm also not a soda drinker (and all these years I thought I was being healthy, drinking my low-fat milk!) Any suggestions on alternative beverages? I'm on day four of phase I. > > Elona
Guest guest
Hi Elona, Good to meet you. I've been on the SBD since March 29th. 22 days for me. Perhaps you could try decaf Iced Tea with lemon and if you want it sweetened you could put some splenda in it. Terri B. Guest guest
You are allowed I believe 2 servings of milk a day under the new guide lines for phase 1. Even though it's not recommended, I drink Crystal Light constantly instead of water. If I'm out and about, I'm fine with a bottle of water but if I'm sitting at home, I can't get my water intake in. New to the list too I'm also new to the list, and I have a funny question I haven't seen yet. I am (er, was right now) a BIG milk drinker. ElonaReminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones-and enables you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats.
