Guest guest
Welcome, Audrey! Go back about a month in these messages, we kicked around the topic of breakfast just a while back. I think I'm the one who launched the topic because I had the same issue you're talking about, knowing I " should " eat breakfast but often finding I wake up and am not the LEAST tiny bit hungry and really don't want to eat anything. I do know, as you said, that eating breakfast sort of kickstarts you which is GOOD assuming you have anything to do in your life after breakfast other than watch TV! LOL! We all need a kickstart. I experimented for a while with eating breakfast in spite of not being hungry at all, and not eating because I wasn't hungry. For me it was a bit of a wash - if I didn't eat at all I was ready for something to eat about 2-3 hours later... if I did eat a little something I was more alert...but still ready to eat something about 2-3 hours later! So I've filed eating breakfast under " Necessary " for me, at least. I eat a small breakfast just to get the ol metabolism revving up and then usually eat a small snack a couple hours later. I get up at 5am and can't go until 11 or 12 without eating a small snack in between and I do think I set myself up for snack or lunch-overload if I don't eat something when I get up and delude myself into thinking I'm gonna' make it until lunch. So eating something for breakfast, even if it's just a small bowl of oatmeal, keeps me from going ape on my morning snack or lunch. Hope that helps.. and WELCOME! > > Hello everyone, I enjoy breakfast very much and I like to eat it but I rarely > feel hunger at that time. If I don't eat breakfast, it could be hours > before I feel hunger later. If I do eat breakfast then it seems > to " start me up " and I feel hunger about every three hours. So... what > do some of you all do re: breakfast.
