Guest guest
sleep distrubances are common to chiari because of thenerve compression. Your doctor can order a sleep study so they can find out exactly what problem you are having and then treat it. Decompression also might hlep sleep disorders if your nsg is advising that. If you don't have one of the more serious sleep disorders, they will probably prescribe one of the antidepressants that will also help you sleep sweet dreams, i hope! Guest guest
When I first began with FMS symptoms this is exactly what I experienced. Tried all the recommended meds but had severe side effects and was even more tired during the day and couldn't get out of bed in the morning. I've been using 5 hydroxytryptophan, which is an amino acid. I get it with a prescription and it is prepared at a compounding pharmacy but can also be purchased in health food stores. It helps tremendously. Have also used valerian root and calms forte with fairly good results. Started going through the change at about 38 which also was affecting my sleep. Taking natural hormone replacement which has also helped with sleep. I'm sleeping better on the whole yet still tired most of the time. Not quite as severe all the time as it used to be.
