Would you recommend any particular book for someone that is going to be learning Reiki? I don't have a lot of money to spend but want to see if half.com would have anything reasonable. Because of my chemo brain it would have to be something not very complicated.Hugsnne

I'm going off of Lyrica, been on it since July's hospital visit, due to it not helping my MS leg pain. I am also stopping effexor and will go on Cymbalta. I need the sexual side effect.....lol Dull that too....lol When things aren't available you want it .....kinda like not havign ice cream in my freezer when I get that craving.....lol

I hope the Lyrica works for you. It has helped a lot of others I know.

-- my neuro appointment

I saw my neuro on Wednesday. First was the emg but without the needles. The technician said she didn't need to do the needles after the results of the shock part of the test. The results? There is nothing wrong with my legs. I don't have polyneuropathy or any of the other problems they were checking for. I said "then why do the hurt so bad????" It seems it's all in my head. Literally. I have lesions on both sides in the area of the brain that governs the sensory. So my extreme burning leg pain is from the lesions in my brain. That's also the cause of the burning pain across my abdomen that comes and goes and other "hot spots" I suppose. I am going to start on Lyrica and taper off Neurontin (down to 600 mg). I will stay on Cymbalta for now. Lyrica is supposed to be better for this nerve pain that even Cymbalta. AND Dr. K. said he had no problem with me trying LDN. So his NP wrote me a script but I haven't had it filled yet. I will see Dr. K again in 6 weeks. That's the boiled down version of my latest neuro adventures!hugs))Sharon

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time..

Neurontin helps my MS leg pain, I don't take very much, 300 a day does it for me. And as for the cymbalta side effect, well, you can't ride a dead horse you know? I want to be alive again...And I no longer need the depression part of it, I tend to break out in song a lot, and last seen that was not a sign of depression...And of course I DO take 400 mg of Sam-E. Maybe that's why I'm so happy? Or is it that life is finally going well for us?

Rob is about to go up to Maine to do (another) seminar, and he is going to being back LOBSTER YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!! I haven't had it since my 21st birthday (I'm 52, WAY too long to wait!!) I fully intend to make up for lost time!!!

The bee stings, I don't think, would affect my mood

Yes I take Vit D, as well as calcium with D. Yes I

I don't HAVE any decorations from before. None. For

the past few years we've only had one of those little

1' tall trees from the dollar store, and even that got

left behind in the move. See, when Rob was growing up,

his folks made him miserable during the Holidays.

Because he was (is) color blind, they would not let

him help decorate (you can't see the colors so you

don't know how to do it) and because both of his

siblings had CF he was excluded from EVERYTHING and

left home with grandma, while the rest went out for

dinner, or movies, or whatever (Well, son, they're

sick, you see...). SO it has taken me 13 years to get

him this far. I think that Robbin is the ONLY thing

that has brought him out of that shell. I might have

helped a bit, but it is a SON that BELIEVES that is

the thing to do the trick.

Rob is doing the psychic party thing on New Years.

ONLY reason I'm not fighting him on it is they've

guaranteed im at least $250 for the evening (evening?

huh. It'll last until at least 4 a.m, then hopefully

he can stay at a friend's near there and not have to

drive home that tired with the roads full of revelling

drunks...in D.C. no less!!)

Ok, so thereya go...

Akiba, this is all so wonderful!! Good people are out there.x0x0x0ShirleyAkiba Michels wrote: About a week ago I posted to one (just one, no need to be greedy...I figured wha help would come from one would be sufficient, whatever G-d wanted us to have the right person would find us to bring) of the local freecycle groups that a Miracle was needed in Falling Waters for a little boy...this was my answer. ONE person answered, it was , a True Angel if

there ever was one. There was another woman who posted for the same, for her 6 year old grandson (she is raising him) and SHe wrote me that there are a few things that were given to him that he is not quite old enough for, so she is bringing them to Robbin, along with an extra Turkey she was given! And yet another awesome thing came from my post...a friend of mine got the courage to post about her long-lost-now-found neice, who is on the streets and pregnant. She has had an awesome turnout of things for them YAY YAY!! She cannot take the girl in, her home is too small and it is the girl and her BF, but they are in a shelter, and they now both have jobs and are turning their lives around, going to be off the streets soon and safe, probably way before the babe is born YAY YAY!! Miracles abound, and Angels walk among us... Akiba --- Sharon Marsden <wobbletowalk> wrote: > Akiba I am so happy to hear about your good fortune! > How did these people know you needed help? Hi,……..his

headaches seem to be diminishing some. His Dr. has him on some pretty strong

pain killers as the accident also stirred up his back, and then added a new

problem in his neck. He doesn’t want to settle too soon in case something

else shows up. He said these type of injuries can last

a long time. He seems to be doing better.

Thanks for asking! J

RE: akiba

Thanks sweetie! How is your son doing after his

accident, anyway? Headaches finally go away?
