NSU movie screening benefits autism preschool

Parents of autistic children live with the reality that their kids see the world differently. But some local parents are hoping the showing of a film on the disorder will help enlighten others.The documentary, Autism: The Musical, will be shown at 2 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Rose Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center at Nova Southeastern University, 3301 College Ave., Davie. Tickets cost $15, with $5 of each ticket benefiting the Baudhuin Preschool at NSU's Mailman Segal Institute for Early Childhood Studies.Baudhuin Preschool, an internationally recognized program for autistic children, is operated in partnership with Broward public schools and serves more than 150 children.
