Hi all,

This is ENT. I am not sure if he is talking about a " press voice, " which the

patient has to press to talk. Could someone help who has an ENT book or just

knows what this is.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: Examination shows ears are clear. Nose and nasopharynx are

clear. Oral cavity and oropharynx are clear. Hypopharynx and larynx examination

with a flexible laryngoscope shows the true vocal cords are mobile. There is

good adduction. There is no mass or lesion. Neck has strap muscle spasm.

IMPRESSION: Dysphonia and *press voice. There appears to be a functional

component.
