Guest guest
Okay, , you're playing " Stump Margaret " tonight. I frankly had never seen the word venostasis before this, so had to look them both up to see. Looks to me like it could be used either way. Since I have never heard of venostasis, you can imagine that I would then say, I have always used venous stasis. Guest guest
Stedman's Electronic venous stasis congestion and slowing of circulation in veins due to blockage by either obstruction or high pressure in the venous system, usually best seen in the feet and legs. **This is the way I have used it. I looked up venostasis and lo and behold venostasis vT-nb-stQcsis, vT-nosct^-sis Syn: phlebostasis. Origin [veno- + G. stasis, a standing] SOOOO I went to : phlebostasis fle-bosct^-sis 1. Abnormally slow motion of blood in veins, usually with venous distention. 2. Treatment of congestive heart failure by compressing proximal veins of the extremities with tourniquets. Syn: bloodless phlebotomy. Syn: venostasis. Origin [phlebo- + G. stasis, a standing still] Hope this helps, I learned something new. venous stasis versus venostasis > Can this be used either way? > tia > > > >
