Guest guest
Laurie, Thank you for the kind words. I really enjoyed working with the teenagers. There were a few big challenges but on the whole, it was a very rewarding experience. Your account of your son was appreciated as well. I understand the emotions of being a parent of a child with multiple needs and medical problems, and now I am seeing it with my grandchildren. We all have a lot to share. That's what makes the list so important and needed. Alice Re: Medical Necessity > > >Alice- > >Thank you for sharing this. Guest guest
Alice.... And so there is one more thing we have in common...tho it is not necessarily related to our mito status! What is so encouraging is that your son, despite his limitations was able to help others in such a meaningful way. Thanks for your thoughts..... Guest guest
Merrill- Thanks for sharing this. My 25 year old son is now doing the best he has ever done, and this has to been something for those youngsters who are struggling now. There is hope for them and for us. Guest guest
Alice- Thank you for sharing this. It is something I think we all need to either hear for the first time or be reminded of. I admire both you and Merrill for your work with some of the hardest kids to help and yet I agree that they have much to offer. Your influence in their lives might have been the one thing to turn them around. Great work my friend. Laurie
Guest guest
Joe.... Reviewing some older Email (must delete something!) and finally getting around to answering some of it..... Thanks for the great response to my van question. For strange reasons I ended up with the Ford with the Vantage conversion. Had I had more time (and been more assertive) I might have made a different choice, tho we are happy with the Windstar at this point (tough beginning....!) For anyone considering a van purchase, take all the personal advice you can get. Hold off on the purchase until you are sure you are doing the best thing for your situation. How are the twins doing, Jow. I hope things have gone well with them.... Merril

Guest guest
Merril, The twins are doing great. They are 5 weeks old today and each have gained over 3 pounds. Wish we could get , their three year old sister to gain like that, although, since we increased coq10 and carnitine intake about three weeks ago, has gained a pound. She now is at 23 # and cute as a bug. Michell, the two year old is at 28, strong as a horse and could teach Dennis the menace a few tricks. Love in Christ, Joe
