I just finished eating an orange/vanilla one. OH MY GOODNESS>>> it was delicious. Tasted just like a dreamsicle! And, completely within our daily 75 calories for sweet treats. Believe me, this bar was WORTH the 60 calories.

Oh - I'm getting these tomorrow. We call this a creamsicle here - is that what you meant? In any event I can't wait to taste these.

How much sugar alcohol? Thats kind of like eating sugar so beware. Also it can make you run to the bathroom real fast.

I meant to also say that right beside this new Tropicana treat was Atkins "Carb Indulgence" chocolate bars (or something like that). I looked on the back of the box.... **12g** of fat!!!! Good grief. Unreal. I hate the new 'low carb' marketing. It really is misleading, since so much of that food is full of BAD BAD fat.

I also saw this and was astounded that people are buying this item. Btu I do think that most fo us becoem eral savvy and read the ingredient label or least I hope we do.

oh, those sound good -- i'm looking for them as soon as I get to the store. Thanks ! >>>>>>>>

I could not even tell there was not sugar added. (they have sugar, but must be the natural sugar from dairy, and then some sugar alcohol... just no sugar *ADDED*) I love Splenda!

I'll have to try a raspberry one tomorrow.

I hope you can find them!

They have 3g sugar (occuring naturally in dairy), 3g sugar alcohol (sucralose = Splenda). Exact same as the "No Sugar Added Fudgsicles" that are recommended for SBD. Sucralose (Splenda) is the sweetener used. With only have 1 bar per day (that would be your sweet for the day, since they are 60 calories)... I am sure it is fine.

I'm sure it is too but I knwo diabetics aer told to stay away from anything which has sugar alcohol, ends in 'ose or 'ol cause this is like eating sugar. Of course we can have a small amount of this and it won't affect us healthwise like a diabetic.

One more thing... Tropicana makes a swirls version that is full of sugar. The 'No Sugar Added' one is new. So, just be sure you look closely at the box! This is the first time I have ever seen them. I found them at a grocery store called Publix.

I am going to try the raspberry one today.

Thanks but I just realized I'll have to wait a bit since I'm still on phase 1.

Why do you need to wait? They are the same as the no-sugar-added fudgsicles, which I ate during Phase 1. In fact, no-sugar-added fudgsicles are on the 'official Phase 1 shopping list' for SBD. The Tropicana Swirls No-Sugar-Added are basically the same thing. They have the *exact* same sugar and sugar alcohol as the No-Sugar-Added fudgsicles. And, just a few more calories (60 vs. 45). But, still under the 75 calorie allowance.

But this is ice cream and I thought thats a no no.

So, diabetics can't use Splenda, or have products sweetened with Splenda? Just curious.

I know that diabetics use this but now I'm wondering if its really ok. You would be shocked what the ADA says is alright for diabetics to eat. I seriously think they are paid off by food companies.

I don't know.. maybe someone else can weigh in on this. Because, I think fudgsicles are just as much ice cream as the creamsicles are. Maybe not? I think of fudgsicles as being like chocolate ice cream on a stick. :o)

I'd be interested to hear what someone else thought, though. I would think, if fudgsicles are OK, these would be, too. But, certainly... if there is any doubt, save them for Phase 2!

IMO diabetic eating plans are somewhat based on the Glycemic Index, but the authors just don't mention it. Some are very, very similar to SBD.

Agatston mentiones this Glycemic Index in his book and most deaibetes books also mention this. Diabetics are supposed to compre everything to a piece of white bread which has a GI of 100. Then they should try and eat foods on the lower end of the scale.
