Guest guest
I use Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter, and I **LOVE** it. The main thing is to look at the ingredients for the Carb Smart sugar free. Are there trans-fats in it? I am guessing there probably is. (look for hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated in the ingredients). Truly natural peanut butter should only have 2 ingredients... peanuts and salt. Or, if you get no added salt natural peanut butter, there should be only one ingredient.. peanuts! I would *DEFINITELY* go with the Natural, unless the Carb Smart is also just peanuts in the ingredients. Hope this helps. Peanut Butter > which is better the natural PB or the Carb smart sugar free ?? > Newbie just wondered. I am on Phase 2 this week and I am trying > not to mess up lol > > karri >

I'm curious! I love my Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter, but am always interested to learn about other items out there.

Guest guest
The Peanut Butter I like is By Skippy it is called Carb Options.-- Ing. Roasted Peanuts, Peanut oil, soy protein, partially hydrogenated vegetable oils(rape seed, cottonseed, soybean) salt, minerals, splenda. Are hydrogenated vegetable oils bad? What are the bad oils? I think I may have to try the Smuckers Natural. Thanks

So, although this Skippy is " Carb Options " .. it has bad fat. (the partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.. bad fat) I suggest trying the Natural Peanut Butter. I like the Smuckers brand. Now, it will taste different at first, because it is only peanuts and salt! But, once your pallette adjusts to it, it is *very* good! When you first get it, stir it up to mix in the oil that is on top. Then, keep it in the frig. I love it on celery. Sorry about the Skippy... they think just because they make it sound carb friendly, it will be good for you. WRONG! I figured it would probably have some bad fat in it, since it was not 'natural'. Guest guest
The natural peanut butter only looks oily because it doesn't have stuff in it to hydrogenize it. Stir it up before you put it into the fridge. That peanut oil is good for you.
