Guest guest
Can you imagine just how much pleasure it will be for Amy to be able to go shopping for clothes and be able to buy things that fit? Also, the weight and pressure on her shoulders will be a wonderful relief for her. I will pray she has a smooth recovery. Jane > called. Amy is home & passed out on the couch. The doc told the surgery went great! She had some nausea, so they gave her Oxycodone & Phenergan before she went home, so we figure she'll wake up sometime tomorrow. He said she's bandaged with drains. The kids are at the other grandmother's house (she lives less than a block from & Amy). We're staying away so Amy can rest. We know will take good care of her, & he knows he can call us any time he needs help. I don't know yet how much breast tissue they removed - they were talking about 6 cup sizes! > > Re: vent > > > , I'm sure you are a wonderful mother and grandmother. Guest guest
Breast reduction surgery is lower risk and fewer potential problems than alot that they now do outpatient. Of course I'm not at all sure that all the stuff they DO outpatient should be done that way, but I'm sure Amy will be fine. (((hugs))) Kathy Re: Amy's surgery Hi , I am glad to hear how well the surgery went. Didn't she spend an overnight at least in hospital? She must be very sore and hope the meds will help her. I am going through a difficult period right now and it's coming out on all the wrong people, all wrong. Love, Please visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com
Guest guest
Christy, Amy's doctor told her everything, I think. Then Amy found an online support group & got the rest of the gory details. She really gave this a lot of thought before she did it. Guest guest
Forgot to tell you - said they have to measure the drainage from the drain tubes. That will decide when the tubes come out. Guest guest
Yeah, you have to do that when you have a mastectomy, too. Believe me, as much as a pain in the butt as the drains are it beats the pain of having all that build up inside and abscess.
