Barbara,

I am so sorry to hear about your discovery.. I too was raised in Long Island.

I haven't seen any list of people, but my father's friend has a son who was a

firefighter who went in to save lives, but never came out. We can't help but

continue to pray and hope. I guess it is a part of denial we just don't want

to deal with. All we can do is pray to God and ask him for strength to get

through this. Pray for everyone and know that your friends are in a happy

peaceful place. I know it doesn't make things easier, but maybe it will just

a little bit.

God bless you and everyone else in our country!

Hugs,

kris

Dear Barbara,

My heart goes out to you. Not only do you have to deal with this

insidious disease but the war, the uncertainty and the stress of people you

knew who died.

The best thing you can do to honor those who have died, is to live

your live to the fullest, whatever that is. This is what they would wish

us to do. To keep the love in our hearts and to continue life. To enjoy

what you can, to hug who you can, to sniff the air, to laugh at the

squirrels, to embrace the sunshine. Sometimes I just stand in the backyard

and literally brush all the negativity off my body with my hands. Then I

just listen to the peace of nature, feel the sun on my body, the breeze on

my face and let the universe fill me with calmness. We still have work to

do, this is why we are still here.

And you can help. A fervent prayer is as strong as a hug. I

remember when I read a book about Mother Theresa that she had people who

were bedridden and shut-in that prayed for the sisters and she was so

grateful for them.

Prayers absolutely help. Every good thought goes out into the

universe and

vibrates everything around it. This is one of the reasons this group is so

strong and good. The people have wonderful prayers and thoughts and hearts.

Hang in there,

love, Sandy Rimland

P.S. I am on this group because my 12 year old neighbor, Shanna, has RSD.

It has been the most inspiring experience of my life to meet her and all of

you.

Kathy,

I am so very sorry to hear of your husband's loss. This tragedy has affected

everyone in one way or another. Some people, like you and I, lost somebody,

and others know someone who knew someone. And God can only tell how many more

people we are going to lose in this new war. I am so scared as I am sure many

others are. What has this world come to? Why is there so much evil and hate?

I just don't understand!

Hugs,

Kris

I have been saying prayers for all of those lost and left behind.

Now I know my prayers are actually for a person. I will add your

name special to my list. I can't say that I know how you feel but I

can be a shoulder for you if you need one. My Mother used to say

that God would only give us what we could handle so he must believe

you to be a strong woman and I do as well.

Very Gentle Hugs
