Guest guest
Well everyone I could not pass this one up because that is the most often asked question I get when I speak to groups about deafness. My little trick is to inconspicuously place the palm of my hand just below my throat ( occasionally while I talk) I then can " feel " the volume going across my vocal cords and with practice you can tell how loud you are talking , but granted, you can't always tell how loud the background noise is so you must watch for visual clues. It is not 100% perfect but I have been doing fine with this system for 22 yrs. now. Any ? Just ask. Bruce ( in slightly warm MN)

Mark ----Original Message Follows---- So, as she was leaving our table, and right as the music STOPPED!, I practically yelled: " SHE GAVE YOU CRABS?! " I didn't go back to that restaurant again.... __________________________________________________

Of course, my roommate wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. __________________________________________________
