Thank you Nathen. What brought up the discussion I had with my friend was

when Marcus and some other people were talking about how they fed cows

ground-up sheep... " Messing with the world order " he said, " and now we are

paying for it. " Something like that. Well, those of you that have seen this

depressing movie, know exactly what made me think of it when that was being

mentioned...

the world order " ? We used to use cows (and I think we still do to some

extent) for vaccinations against disease. Soooooo are you saying with should

stop this practice because we're " messing with the world order " ?

A quick search shows a movie starring Charlton Heston,

Chuck Conners, and Dick Van Patten in " Soylent Green, "

a movie about euthenasia.

, I'm sure by now you know what it is, the surprise is no secret by

now.:) With all the " enhanced " and " made in labs " food of today, crossing

etc., it's frightening to think that this was made 20 years ago. It's a

movie you either love or hate. Sci-fi buffs maybe will like it.. I sure " DID

NOT like it ,, very disturbing to a 15 year old, it certainly sticks with

you.. I haven't seen it in 20 years, but this ground up sheep fed to cattle

thing, sure made me, and I bet many other people that saw it, think about

Soylent Green pretty fast. It's probably very dated looking I'm sure, the

props, like the old Star Treks are, but the message is very clear..

Dear Jennette,

I think you're thinking of the movie titled, " Soylent (or Soylant)

Green " . It starred Charlie Heston. It was about futurisitc society. People

are either killed at a certain age or are allowed to die as they wish. The

title refers to a food that is eaten by the general population. Turns out

the food " soyle(a)nt green is people ! I haven't seen this movie for a long

time. Hope it's the one you were thinking of.
