What brought up the discussion I had with my friend was when Marcus and some other people were talking about how they fed cows ground-up sheep... " Messing with the world order " he said, " and now we are paying for it. " Something like that. Well, those of you that have seen this depressing movie, know exactly what made me think of it when that was being mentioned... With all the " enhanced " and " made in labs " food of today, crossing etc., it's frightening to think that this was made 20 years ago. It's a movie you either love or hate. Sci-fi buffs maybe will like it.. I sure " DID NOT like it ,, very disturbing to a 15 year old, it certainly sticks with you.. I haven't seen it in 20 years, but this ground up sheep fed to cattle thing, sure made me, and I bet many other people that saw it, think about Soylent Green pretty fast. It's probably very dated looking I'm sure, the props, like the old Star Treks are, but the message is very clear.. Jennette
Guest guest
Dear Jennette, I think you're thinking of the movie titled, " Soylent (or Soylant) Green " . It starred Charlie Heston. It was about futurisitc society. People are either killed at a certain age or are allowed to die as they wish. The title refers to a food that is eaten by the general population. Turns out the food " soyle(a)nt green is people ! I haven't seen this movie for a long time. Hope it's the one you were thinking of. K.
